The Supreme Court New Meeting Room Arrangements

UKSC-exterior
The Supreme Court is introducing some changes to the way that bookings of private meeting rooms are handled, with effect from the start of the Easter Term, 29 April 2014. These changes are designed to help reduce our overall costs to the UK taxpayer and to bring the Supreme Court’s policies in line with those of other senior appeal courts situated in London.

For hearings taking place on or after 29 April 2014, lawyers wishing to book private meeting rooms while they are appearing at the court will need to pay a daily hire charge of £100+VAT for the use of those rooms. Meeting room bookings will be handled by our catering provider, with a simple meeting room request form available from the Supreme Court website which can be downloaded, completed and returned to our caterers any time from three weeks before the hearing (but no later than 5pm one clear working day before the hearing).
